App to check the weather forecast on your Android
Knowing exactly what the weather is going to be like tomorrow, the day after or next week is something that we all want at a given moment. But there's no need to worry because Google Play and, therefore, Malavid is full of weather forecast applications for Android. So, which one to choose? Which is the best weather app available? Which is the most precise one of them all?
The weather forecast on your Android
Well, we can't say much about the accuracy issue because many of them use the same sources for their predictions, but this one at least tries to give you precise information about today's weather, tomorrow's weather, and next week's weather. It's called the Weather and the truth is that its developers could have worked harder on the translations as many things are still in Italian but there's nothing to worry about. A cloud is still a cloud whether we're in Pisa or New York.
It's a rather functional app that offers us information about the current and future weather. With a quick glance, you can see if it's or will be cloudy, clear or rainy, as well as the minimum and maximum temperatures. But it also comes along with the following functions:
- Possibility to indicate our favorite locations: check the weather in those places.
- Search for cities manually.
- Possibility to fix your position.
- Satellite photos.
- Notifications and alerts about weather incidents.
- Widgets (not available if we install the app on our SD card).
- Live images by means of webcam connections.
- Check the air quality.
- Sunrise and sunset times.
- Coordinates of the place where we're checking the forecast.
The best weather forecast app?
It's a decent app to check the temperature, humidity, sky clearness... but the best one? Well, if we had to choose a weather app we'd probably go for an official weather agency or an application of the likes of The Weather Channel: the information is presented in a much neater and tidier manner and comes along with a better alert and notification system.
In any case, this app does exactly what it's meant to do, offering us information about the weather in any city around the world, whether London, New York, Paris, Moscow or Mordor.
